Tom was looking for rare orchids in the Colombian jungle when he was captured and held hostage, for nine months, by armed guerrillas. He later wrote about his experiences in The Cloud Garden. On returning home, to Lullingstone Castle (http://www.lullingstonecastle.co.uk), he set about creating The World Garden.
This should be an illuminating and enjoyable evening. Entry, for non members, will cost £2.
