MARDEN PARISH PLAN
Minutes of the
meeting held on
at The Scout HQ. High
Street, Marden
Present: R Adam, M
Brown,
B Harvey,
Min 19: Minutes of the meeting held on 15 August
were agreed and signed as a true record.
Min 20: Parish
Plan and/or Market Town Healthcheck - A free ranging discussion followed, on the
merits of the Market Town Health Check in comparison with The Parish Plan. R Adam
explained that the purpose of the MTH did not include planning, as did the Parish Plan. M
Brown said that the group should consider, what we want for Marden social and
Community? It is not necessary that a MTH
should relate to a market or a town. However for the Marden submission to be taken
seriously it should follow a recognised model. Ideally a template should be used to create
an Action Plan. If Parish Plan were chosen, ACRK grants would be available. One outcome
could be the Marden Society History Groups campaign for a Heritage Centre.
It was agreed that
the title of the Marden production should be The Marden Community Plan based on the MTH
template with the support of the Parish Council.
The proposal by J
Verrall, seconded by G Tippen that a Marden Parish Plan should proceed was agreed
unanimously. Letters will be sent to ACRK and County Cllr Stockell both of who have access
to Funds.
